China is the birthplace of mulberry silk. More than 4,000 years ago, Leizu, a great female from ancient China, invented the cultivation technology of mulberries and silkworms and spread the technology after studying their living habits.
Silk is one of the few advantageous export commodities that China has a monopoly position in the international market. Among silk export commodities, raw material is the most advantageous one. Today China has already been the world's largest silk producer and exporter. Raw silk production of China accounts for more than 70% of the world's total output and raw silk exports of China accounts for more than 80% of the world's trade.
The quality of raw silk is divided into seven grades of 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A, A and extra grade according to the comprehensive results of technical indicators of quality and appearance quality of the tested raw silk.
